Biography

Happily sold in Belgium till the late 70’s, Ritchie then decided to take a well-earned holiday. Now Ritchie is back! As effervescent as the fabulous 50’s but with a 21st century taste.

Jan Verlinden is Chief Lemonade Maker @ Ritchie and the driving force of bringing the brand back on the market.

After his studies commercial engineer @ KU Leuven and MBA @ Vlerick school, Gent, he started his career @ Masterfoods as Sales Promotor.

He joined BAT in Belgium in 1993 as junior brand manager. Between 1993 and 2010 Jan held several senior marketing and sales positions @ BAT in Belgium, Portugal, Russia, the United States, South-Korea and the United Kingdom.

Upon his return to Belgium, he became marketing director @ PepsiCo Belux and was promoted to Brand Director Lay’s for Western Europe in 2014.

In 2016, Jan decided to follow his dreams to re-launch his favorite soft drink from his youth : Ritchie.
